Looking for some SW Mainland trips? The Vancouver Section welcomes VI members to attend their trips.
SUGGESTIONS FOR ALL TRIP PARTICIPANTS:
In the interests of safety and enjoyment, please:
- Ensure that your membership is current. Prospective members are welcome and encouraged to participate in up to 3 trips before joining. This gives you a change to meet other people in the club and see what the trips involve.
- Talk with the trip leader to see if the trip is appropriate for your abilities.
- Bring personal first aid supplies and adequate equipment. The leader can advise you about obtaining equipment.
- Lean about the proposed route.
- Sign the waiver form.
- Advise leader if you have a relevant medical condition(s) when registering for the trip. Share this information with the group at the start of the trip.
- Share expenses.
- Respect decisions(s) of the leader.
- Contact the trip leader by about 9 p.m. three or four days prior to the trip. Many trips fill up by this time, so it is advisable to phone earlier. If you need to cancel, call the leader as soon as possible.
- Only paid-up members are covered by the Alpine Club of Canada's liability insurance
